Embassy Suites Hampton Roads - Hotel, Spa & Convention Center - Shrimp N Grits

The Cyprus Grille is open for lunch and dinner during the week and features an extensive weekday lunch buffet, as well as the option to order from the regular menu. Pair a local wine or exotic cocktail with your evening meal and experience the rich tastes of the Chesapeake Bay area. The scrumptious Sunday Brunch is a favorite among hotel guests and area residents.

By changing the menu every six months to accommodate seasonal fluctuations, Executive Chef Kyle Fowlkes is able to prepare his dishes with the freshest ingredients. His cooking style is described as New American with Southern and Asian influences.

His recipe for Nana's Buttermilk Fried Chicken has become the restaurant's best-seller and in 2014 it placed 2nd in a statewide contest.

Our Chef

Embassy Suites Hampton Roads - Hotel, Spa & Convention Center - Seared Scallops

Chef Kyle Fowlkes has lived in Virginia for the past two decades, but his culinary passion began at a young age in his grandmother's kitchen in Gloucester. He joined the Hampton Roads Embassy Suites hotel team in 2005 as the Executive Sous Chef and was promoted to Executive Chef in the fall of 2008.

As one of the younger chefs to hold this position, Chef Kyle assembled and leads the creative culinary team responsible for the Cyprus Grille Restaurant and the Hampton Roads Convention Center event food service.
