Things To Do
Downtown San Francisco is a short ride away from our hotel and offers a volume of things to do, including shopping, biking, sight-seeing, museums tours and more. Take the BART or a taxi into the City to explore Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower and Transamerica Pyramid.
Shopaholics will appreciate the plentitude of stores in Union Square and local areas like Pacific Heights or Hayes Valley for boutiques. The Mission, famous for its Hispanic culture, is also a fun shopping experience with local produce, artifacts, fresh food vendors, restaurants and bars, as well as coffee shops and nightlife.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, try surfing lessons at Pacifica or Half Moon Bay. There is also kite-surfing in the East Bay and several rock-climbing walls in the city. Sunbathing is great at Baker Beach and Ocean Beach in the city. Rent bikes and cycle across Golden Gate Bridge, getting the ferry back from Sausalito for a classic San Franciscan experience.
California is renowned for its local cuisine. Try upscale restaurants in downtown San Francisco, including Acquarello, Gary Danko and Hakkasan. Alternatively, you'll find a range of affordable cuisine options, such as Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, Burmese, or Japanese in Japantown. Then, use a cab, BART or CalTrain to return.
